Its one the week and which what better way to show off the 15-Carat diamond ring but it was not on display in this picture. She appeared in a dress with heels and a fur coat looking overtly classy, but we aren't sure if Kim and Kris were headed to San Jose, CA, where Kanye is performing for his Yeezus tour. A while ago I ran into this very stylish and hot picture and I had to share. She featured a soft hue of yellow mixed with a simple prints of monochrome. Not only did she stop there, Oge also got on the metallic train where she wore a lengthy strapless metallic dress which had a boom of sequins with cinched waist. I love this look, Ultra sexy and very classy. What do you think?

Introducing the new collection by 17 year old emerging fashion designer Tehilah Abakasanga titled “Tehilah”.

The collection of feminine retro pieces was created by the designer as a representation of self. She disclosed that the designs were inspired by the colour black and its edginess and importance in her character as a person & designer. The Tehilah women is someone who loves to look beautiful and the collection has something for everyone.

 This collection got me drooling on the monochrome expression, patterns build up, flowing floral and the pale palette colours full of coastal tones, pale blush, sand and light blue. The collection had a tunic style in the dresses, which is sweet and ladylike and you will be glad to have such pretty clothes stashed in your wardrobe.The clothes are really pretty in the geometric and flowing cuts . This clothes speaks of fun and seriousness and women will be taken style seriously in this.

Etro - Spring/Summer 2014 Collection 'MFW' (@MyEtroSale)

This ready to wear collection marvelously played on prints which got themselves in red, pale pink, blue and sandy yellow. Beautiful prints were the order of the day played with paisley a signature, long silk dresses with a grown-up hippy-vibe with coats and jackets to match tailored to perfection. The prints were cornflower prints embellished, with beaded paisleys looked luxuriously beautiful in a palette of sandy yellow and tan, red and mint green. It later played down on elegance with trousers pulled in to string waists and scarves draped around the neck with beaded fringes.

African Fashion meets Chinese Culture! Eki Orleans unveils its Spring/Summer 2014 Collection – A Slice of Africa

Eki Orleans is out with its Spring/Summer 2014 collection titled A Slice of Africa.

With this collection the designer presents a sublime visual discourse on the African continent and its relationship with China. The collection has been described as the labels reaction to the growing Chinese investment in Africa; a symbolic representation of the harmonious fusion between the two cultures.

Fusing inspiration from both China and Africa, the collections pieces have prints inspired by African cultural imagery and the other prints with Chinese design elements.

Eki Orleans suggests that the intersection of African and Chinese culture can create something that is beautiful, chic and sophisticated. The designer – Hazel Aggrey-Orleans - elaborated that “With the African-inspired print, I wanted a design that creates the illusion of rows and rows of market stalls and the resulting electricity and energy found in traditional African markets. With the Chinese-inspired print, I was drawn by the beauty of traditional Chinese floral vases.“

Staying true to the Eki Orleans aesthetic, the collection features light dresses in flattering silhouettes in a breath-taking yellow and lime colour palette.

Chic & Comfortable Fashion! AfroMod Trends Unveils New Collection Lookbook – Nyornu

Sometimes a girl just wants to be comfortable but still look chic.

Ghanaian design label, AfroMods Trends had comfort, chic and gowns on her mind when she created her new collection – Nyornu.

The collection which features pieces from gowns and casual shirts to short dresses and shorts, was created for the trendy AfroMod woman. Nyornu, which means woman in the Ewe dialect (a Ghanaian language), is aimed at capturing and celebrating the very essence of womanhood.

The designer, Ami Yomkepe, had a lot to say on the collection’s make-up and talks about each chic, casual and gown sub section of the collection. According to her, she is looking at inspiring the AfroMod woman through this collection. She aims to do this through values of class, elegance and virtue and she hopes this transcends beyond just the clothes to the inherent values of every woman who is touched by ‘Nyornu’.

Carrying out her duties, Ghanaian songstress Adina Thembi Ndamse who was unveiled as the AfroMods Trends ambassador, plays the model in the photo shoot.

Feminine Fashion for Spring 2014! Nigerian Design

The Spring/Summer 2014 collections keep rolling in! Today we are taking a look at the lookbook for Nigerian fashion designer Weiz Dhurm Franklyn‘s Spring/Summer 2014 collection for women.

The designer, Wisdom Franklyn, describes the collection as soft and having structured, crafted and humble fabrics. “The collection represents high fashion, femininity and a very sensual physical & pre-dominant power. The silhouette is waist-ed and predominantly very evident. Jackets and dresses have apron necklines while some has the canoe necklines. The Weiz Dhurm Franklyn signature stays evident in the masochist gown with buckles, the exaggerated structural jacket and high detail of craftsmanship evident in all pieces.”

I love a lot of pieces in the collection, although I don’t think I would rock this for Summer. What do you think? Don’t forget to share your thoughts.

I love the style which this print appears in. According to reports, this is

a typical Giles Spring/ Summer 2014 collection and spring is going to

enjoy every spooky

bit. The collection started with a faded film-still prints on strapless and

spaghetti strap floaty dresses and the designs featured lips and face

on dresses,

silk and lilac that were absolutely girly and every bit chic to the core.

Right from those design, the style wandered into the leather trend and

boasted of leather dresses feature bat hats designs taking a perfect

control of the head gear. The mood of this collection just simply hits me

as it moves from Sci-fi, wandered in to the romantic feel and got a halt in

While new york fashion week hosted so many gorgeous and creative beauty, Rihanna hit us with an unusual makeup trail.Rih-Rih stole my attention with the season new Fall's makeup line up from MAC. Every piece and item has her unique trade mark on it and I am loving the full deep colured lip stick, ink black eyeliner, luminous highlighters and every neccessary make up kit to create your Rih-Rih signature look. WOOLWORTHS FASHION CONVO

Recently I attended the Woolworths Fashion Convo held at the Woolworths store in Tyger Valley CapeTown.

The store was transformed into a fashion studio with a runway and amazing garments on all the mannequins.

The Fashion Convo was all about the Spring/Summer trends with a fashion show while the ever so fab Bonang Matheba, Danielle Weakley from Grazia and Woolworths trend forecaster Alison Page gave us some tips on the latest trends for the season. Denim on denim, black and white, prints and white on white which are all of my favourite trends!

We enjoyed champers, delicious canapes and sweet treats while shopping up a storm.

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014: Maki Oh

For her debut at the New York Fashion Week 2013, Nigerian designer Maki  of Maki Oh told a progressive story about the ‘woman’.

Her Spring/Summer 2014 collection was centered on the many roles a woman plays through out her life and adds an artistic edge to each piece to give a voice to each role. From the athlete to the cook, we see the models portray different roles as they pose in the couture.

The pieces range from apron inspired dresses, jersey shirts and dresses, sheer tops with puffed sleeves and little square hats (a personal favourite).

Maki Oh has never been known to showcase the ‘expected’ and I am glad I can see that here. I like her use of soft fabrics and the slightly ethereal look of the pieces that prompts a subtle impact of each piece. In totality I think she pulled together a great collection. What do you think?

Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2013: Zvzorzi Abdy Spring/Summer 2014

We are back to checking out our favorite collections from the Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2013. Now, let’s take a look at the ‘siniter’ looking Spring/Summer collection from Zvzorzi Abdy.

The collection was themed with purple and white and of course it wouldn’t be a “Spring” collection if floral prints weren’t present. Filled with full and knee length dresses, trousers with cut out designs and blazers, the designer presented his collection with a sinister theme. The models walked the runway with knives and painted faces.

South Sudanese Model Atong Arjok Rocks Bold Prints for Lucky Magazine’s September 2013 Issue

It’s a fabulous new month and as the weather gets cooler we can expect to see some cool fashion. Kicking off their September with a brand new issue, American fashion monthly, Lucky magazine has featured a fabulous 7 page fashion editorial with South Sudanese model Atong Arjok.

For the doting model followers, we can safely say we haven’t seen much of the African model lately, but I’m glad to be staring at her work again.

Dressed in stunning graphic prints, the editorial shot by Martien Mulder, shows a fun Atong sporting major prints which are set to be a fashion trend favorite come this Fall. Check out the editorial spread below.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town 2013: Cheryl Arthur

Today we are looking at another designer who caught our attention at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town 2013. It was the second day of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town 2013 and it was all graphic prints and oriental influences with South African designer Cheryl Arthur’s Runway Collection.

With an array of beautiful pieces from shift dresses to palazzo pants, the collection definitely had some wearable pieces. I personally loved the collection because it had a mix of different clothing styles and is absolutely great for hot weather. Plus I’m a sucker for graphic prints.
